Robert Stocks Announces His Candidacy for Mayor of Watertown, Wisconsin

July 7, 2024

I’m excited to announce my candidacy for Mayor of Watertown, WI . . . a dream I've had since I was a teenager.

Inspiration

At the age of 15, I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout through St. Henry's Catholic Church Troop 43. It was October of 1990 when Mayor David Lenz, Assemblyman Randy Radtke, and State Senator Barbara Lorman honored me at my ceremony.

Their recognition left an indelible mark on me, inspiring my aspiration to run for public office.

High School and Culinary Arts

I graduated from Watertown High School in 1993 and pursued Culinary Arts at MATC-Madison. From 1991 to 2000, I worked in several restaurants, including the Windwood Country Club when it opened in 1994.

Culver's Where I learned the Importance of Valuing and Respecting Others

I also spent five years at Culver’s, helping to open a new store in Johnson Creek in 1999. The owner was a remarkable mentor, teaching me the importance of valuing others' opinions and treating everyone with respect.

Marriage & Teaching Position

In 2000, I married my wonderful wife, Sarah (Turke) and we moved to Deerfield for about a year. Shortly after, I secured a teaching position with the Watertown Unified School District.

Raised Our Family in Watertown

We bought a house in Watertown, realizing this was the perfect place to raise our family. We’re so proud of our sons, Jayden and Jameson.

Watertown is more than just a place to live; it's our home, filled with wonderful memories and great people.

Giving Back to Our Community

I look forward to the opportunity to give back to this community and help shape its future.

Thank you for your support!
